Research & AnalysisProblem:The rates of new HIV infections had been growing in Russia and the client wanted to address the problem through advocacy building, communication, and reaching the youth who were important segment of the population to be targeted with prevention messages. The Mission wanted to reach more youth with positive messages through multiple channels of communication. IT Shows was asked to assess the possibility of reaching the young through the web and Internet communication. Solution:IT Shows conducted a thorough assessment of the situation and found out that majority of Internet users (78 percent ) in the country were youth (ages 18-32). In response to reach the youth, IT Shows provided assistance in the conceptualization, design, and development of a web-based communication program. Benefit:The client Mission was able to serve and reach large number of youth with messages through the most popular internet sites in the country.
EvaluationProblem:A client realized it needed evaluation of the results of its program, so it can be improved and any new programs reflected on any changes. Due to time constraints, the Mission needed highly experienced team to be fielded in a very short timeframe. Solution:IT Shows was able to put together a solid team of experts that was able to conduct extensive evaluation of the program within the required time table. The team was able to identify gaps in the existing program and make recommendations for the redesign of a new project activity. Benefit:The client received highest quality product given the knowledge and expertise reflected in the final report. Plus, it was able to conduct fast track project design and development within the desired timetable and began implementation on schedule. HMIS, Capacity BuildingProblem:A client (Ministry of Health) received its weekly, monthly, annual reports and manually input data into its health management information system. The reports were processed and delivered in different forms, some via fax, hand delivery, and snail mail. The data was stored in individual PCs and disparate computer applications and used individual applications for various departments. Solution:IT Shows built the capacity of the Ministry to collect, analyze, and store data by strengthening all aspects of the management information system – people, equipment, software, information flow, and overall policies and procedures. The Ministry’s Health Management information system has become one of the most advanced with online capabilities in data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting. Benefit:The client realized extensive cost savings, efficiency, and timeliness in its reporting requirements. Online capabilities allow senior decision makers to review, analyze, and use the information without leaving their desk. Information service personnel reported improved quality of the data and have increased their skills and knowledge. Conference, LogisticsProblem:A federal client wanted to get the latest information and research results from key industry partners. IT Shows was asked to plan, organize and executive a major lessons learned conference. Solution:IT Shows planned, organized, and executed major conference involving over 120 participants representing some thirty companies from five continents – Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas. In addition to conference planning, logistics and on-site support, IT Shows transcribed, documented, and recording in various media the entire proceedings of the conference. Benefit:The client agency received solid documentation of lessons from the industry on time and actual proceedings were captured in various forms media for further analysis by the client. |
